About Me
Every dog can learn new behaviour with the right tools and guidelines.
The key to success is having fun and some patience.
I have experience with 2kg – 60 kg dogs, from puppy problems to behaviour problems.
It all started out with me taking care of a small puppy with a broken leg for a couple of weeks. Not knowing very much about dog-training, I started self-teaching and found it very interesting. I found several different styles of training, with my favourite being positive reinforcement. Why? Because it is both effective and fun. I wish for the dog to behave the way I want because the dog wants to, rather than because it is being forced or is scared of the consequences of not obeying. After training with dogs and seeing the amazing progress I found a school that would allow me to further my skills. I attended Borgå Folk Akademi and graduated with a diploma in dog consulting. The topic of my final project was stress in dogs, as I had found myself very interested in dog psychology and behaviour. Every dog is unique and therefore it requires skills to understand them. When you start to understand the dogs you can start training them in a much more effective way. Training is supposed to be fun and motivating for both parts, which then builds a strong and important bond between dog and human.
